As we prepare for 2026, we wanted to take a moment and reflect on all that we have achieved together over the last twelve months. From amazing collaborations, events, and recipes, to the launch of our Farmer Video Series, and all the way to every plate, every bite, of delicious turkey shared at your table.

Like many of you, 2025 was unexpected and extraordinary in its everyday moments. We are so lucky to live in a province as beautiful as BC, with farmers dedicated to providing us with healthy and delicious turkey products all year long. So let’s reflect on a year in review.

In 2025, we had four quarterly campaigns: Healthy Starts Here, A Conscious Table, Local Roots, and Gather Around BC Turkey.

We chose these campaigns intentionally, grounding each one in the rhythms of the year and the real moments happening in kitchens across British Columbia. From fresh starts and mindful eating, to celebrating where our food comes from and gathering around the table together, each campaign was designed to meet you where you were, season by season, meal by meal. At the heart of it all was our commitment to supporting BC farmers, showcasing the versatility of turkey beyond holidays, and making it easier to feel good about what we put on our plates every day.

Each month also included sub-campaigns with seasonal messaging that uplifted local agriculture, introduced timely recipes, and celebrated our farming industry.

We published 24 blogs across 2025, each one filled with nutritional information, turkey facts, tidbits on our farming industry, hacks for different turkey cuts, interviews with select farmers, and plenty of ways to bring more lean protein into your diet. To promote each blog and recipe, we sent out a total of 25 newsletter e-blasts, including links to impactful influencer partnerships throughout the year.

As a BC-based board representing exclusively British Columbia turkey farmers, processors, and producers, we felt it was important to source BC-based influencers and create exciting content including recipes, meal hacks, and everyday snacks. Working with chefs, nutritionists, parents, dieticians, and more, we were able to collaborate with 22 unique content creators and promote 40+ creative reels across our social platforms. You can check them all out on our Instagram page!

In both July and August, we also partnered for the first time with BC-based chain restaurant, Bin 4 Burger Lounge, for their monthly feature(s): the Take It Brie-ZY Turkey Burger in July and the Peach Perfect Turkey Burger in August, both made from Rossdown Farms certified BC ground turkey.

This past year we also welcomed back Chef Ned Bell with two CTV Morning Life segments, streaming easy recipes straight to your living room. In case you missed it, we also had media placements (both print and digital) in Vancouver Magazine’s 2025 Restaurant Awards and Natures Fare Market’s autumn publication in their quarterly magazine, The Good Life.

On October 4th, we proudly sponsored the BC Lion’s 2025 Gravy Bowl for the third consecutive year in a row against the Calgary Stampeders. Not only did we see success with an interactive booth activation that saw hundreds of visitors, we also ran contests leading up to the game, during the quarters, and throughout the day, providing up to 125 Tim Horton’s $5 gift cards to lucky BC residents!

Throughout 2025 we partnered with BC Egg, Buy BC, BC Fresh Veggies, as well as BC Agriculture in the Classroom to strengthen our agricultural sector and spread education across our province—because when we invest in our local farmers, we invest in our future.

Furthering brand awareness and nutritional information across the province, we also held 15 in-store demonstrations on ways to bring more turkey to your table. Each demo included a new seasonal recipe and highlighted how easy it is to enjoy delicious turkey meals and snacks all year long—not only just during the holidays.

Perhaps one of the achievements we are most proud of this year was the launch of our Farmer Video Series. Created to pull back the curtain and share the real stories behind BC turkey farming, this series gave our audience an authentic look at the people, practices, and care that go into raising turkey in British Columbia. Through candid conversations and on-farm footage, we explored important topics such as animal care, sustainability, nutrition, and what a day in the life of a turkey farmer truly looks like.

More than just education, the Farmer Video Series was about building trust and connection, reminding viewers that behind every product is a family, a farm, and a deep commitment to doing things right. By amplifying farmer voices directly, we were able to celebrate the pride, transparency, and responsibility that define BC’s turkey industry, while helping consumers feel confident and informed about the food they bring to their tables.

Stay tuned in 2026 as we unveil even more incredible footage!

There are some numbers that simply can’t be counted when we look back over 2025 — the number of turkey products purchased, the meals shared around kitchen tables, or the bellies filled with locally raised BC turkey. These everyday moments, often quiet and uncelebrated, are where the true impact of our work lives.

As a protein, turkey is naturally packed with both macro and micro nutrients, including iron, zinc, vitamin B12 and D, potassium, and phosphorus, making it a smart, nourishing choice for families at every stage of life. Every bite is lean, satisfying, and versatile. And thanks to its mild, neutral flavour profile, turkey easily complements a wide range of ethnic and international cuisines, making it especially well suited for a province as diverse, vibrant, and culturally rich as British Columbia. Whether it’s part of a quick weekday lunch, a family dinner, or a special gathering, turkey continues to show up as a dependable, feel-good choice, one that brings people together while supporting local farmers and a stronger food system here at home.

As we look ahead to 2026, we invite you to begin your next chapter with more turkey at the table. Choosing turkey isn’t just a healthy decision for you and your family, it’s a meaningful way to support the farmers, processors, and communities who make up British Columbia’s agricultural landscape. Every time you choose locally raised turkey, you help strengthen our food system, invest in local livelihoods, and contribute to a more resilient future. When we grow our own food, we grow stronger together.

And so as you prepare to ring in 2026, we leave you with this: choose local, gather often, and keep BC turkey at the heart of your table.

From all of us here at BC Turkey, we wish you a very Happy New Year!
