Breeder Turkeys

Breeder Turkeys are one year old before they reach maturity and are moved to the breeder farm to begin the process of producing eggs.

The hens are artificially inseminated as the toms grow up to 30 kilograms in weight and are much too heavy to naturally breed. The hens lay their eggs in nesting boxes and move about at will. Feed and water are always nearby along with plenty of natural and artificial light. A pink color on the backs of the hens indicates they have been bred.
